Using Gmail instead of our webmail

If you’d like to use good ol’ Gmail for your email hosted with us we’ll help you set it up right here:

1. Login to your Gmail account

2. Click on the Settings icon and click on "Settings"

3. Click on the "Accounts and Import" tab

4. You’ll see an option to Check mail from other accounts (using POP3)

5. Click on "Add a POP3 mail account you own"

6. You’ll see a new window pop-up

7. Enter your email address

8. Click on Next Step

9. Set the Username as your email address

10. Enter your Email password

11. Enter the POP Server as pop.yourdomain.com

Note:
  • If you have a Linux Hosting package, set the POP Server as mail.yourdomain.com
  • If you have a Windows Hosting package, set the POP server as yourdomain.com

12. Tick Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server (This will ensure that a copy of your email is stored on our servers even after it gets downloaded to Gmail)

13. We’d suggest you to tick Label incoming messages for better segregation of emails in your Gmail inbox

14. Click on Add Account

15. Tick Yes, I want to be able to send mail as you@yourdomain.com

16. Click on Next Step

17. You can choose to set your name for Outgoing emails on this page

18. Click on Next Step

19. Select Send through yourdomain.com SMTP servers

20. Enter the SMTP Server as smtp.yourdomain.com

Note:
  • If you have a Linux Hosting package, set the SMTP Server as mail.yourdomain.com
  • If you have a Windows Hosting package, set the SMTP Server as yourdomain.com

21. Enter Username as your complete Email address

22. Enter your Email Password

23. Click on Add Account

24. You’ll now receive an email in your webmail

25. Login to your webmail

26. Open the email you received from the Gmail Team

27. Click on the verification link in that email

You’ll get a success message on doing this which means you’re all set to use your email account from Gmail
