Initial Plesk Setup for VPS

If you’ve just purchased a VPS along with the Plesk Panel, give it about 4 hours for the server to install the Plesk Panel automatically for you.

Once done, you’ll need to follow a few steps to complete the Plesk Panel setup. Don’t worry. We’ll help you with this process. Here’s what you need to do:

  1.     Login to your account
  2.     You will now see a page that lists all purchases made by you on our system
  3.     Click on the domain name associated with your VPS
  4.     This will take you to a page where you see your hosting package details
  5.     Click on "Details"
  6.     Click on the URL that you see below Virtuozzo Power Panel (VZ)
  7.     Confirm the security exception on your browser and Proceed
  8.     Enter your server root credentials that we’ve sent you in the order completion email and click on "Log In"
  9.     Click on "Control Panels" in the Management section you see on the left
  10.     Now click on the "Manage" that you see beside the Plesk icon
  11.     You’ll now get an option to "Login to your Plesk" Panel. Click on it.
  12.     Accept the License Agreement for using the Plesk Panel
  13.     Enter your root credentials again to login to your Plesk Panel
  14.     Set a hostname for your server. For example - vps.yourdomain.com
  15.     Set a new password for your Plesk administrator (root) & Click on "OK"
  16.     Enter your Personal Information on this page & Click on "OK"

That’s it. The screen you see in front of you is the Plesk Control Panel for your hosting package and its all set to go.
