In continuation to the announcement, we are working towards making our Windows Shared Hosting Platform more stable and secure. One of the best ways we can do this is to stop supporting older versions of PHP that are no longer supported by the community. We have been doing a similar activity on our Linux Shared Hosting Platform for the past few months.
As part of this security effort, we have decided to (i) deprecate the older versions of PHP (i.e. PHP v5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2) from our servers; and (ii) withdraw support for these deprecated PHP versions. These versions have shown the highest number of vulnerabilities and insecurities over the last few years. These versions of PHP have also stopped receiving support from the PHP community some time ago (PHP Unsupported Branches).
What needs to be done?
We will be trying to upgrade all customer websites which are running on the older versions to version 7.3 or above. This will ensure higher security for not only your website but also higher availability and performance.
When can you expect these changes?
We have planned to begin this activity starting from 10th April 2021 in phases. We will announce the exact schedule for the hosting servers in our server status. We request you to get your websites upgraded to PHP version 7.3 or above before the stipulated time frame. If that is not possible, we will attempt to perform the upgrade on your behalf in the safest manner possible. After 10th April 2021, older PHP versions(PHP v5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2) will not be supported on our Windows shared servers.
How to upgrade the PHP version?
You can manage the PHP version from the Plesk panel by following the steps:
1. Login to the Plesk Panel
2. Navigate to Websites & Domains and then click on PHP Settings
Disclaimer: Please ignore this message if your websites are already running on PHP 7.3 or above.

Team ABACO Hosting.
